University of North Georgia (UNG.edu)

Overview

As part of VisionPoint Marketing’s partnership with the University of North Georgia (UNG), William Beeler played a leading role in the front-end development of the university’s flagship website, UNG.edu.

The project sought to modernize UNG’s digital presence—uniting its dual identity as both a State Leadership Institution and The Military College of Georgia—while ensuring the platform met rigorous standards of accessibility, performance, and long-term maintainability across a complex ecosystem.

Working alongside designers, UX specialists, and content strategists, William helped shape a front-end architecture that balanced creative expression with technical discipline—resulting in a scalable, modular, and highly maintainable foundation for the university’s web presence.

Contributions

Front-End Architecture
William architected a component-driven theme system built around Blade, Laravel Jigsaw, Laravel Mix, and SASS—allowing for flexible page composition and reusable design patterns. This modular approach empowered UNG’s content and marketing teams to rapidly create and maintain pages without sacrificing design integrity or code quality.

Responsive UI Development
High-fidelity mockups from Adobe XD were translated into production-ready, fully responsive interfaces using Bootstrap 5 and modern front-end workflows. William’s work ensured pixel-accurate fidelity to the design vision while maintaining consistency across a wide range of devices and viewport sizes.

Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 Compliance)
Accessibility was prioritized throughout development. William implemented semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and conducted audits using axe DevTools and Lighthouse, helping the institution meet state accessibility standards for higher education websites.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance
Working within an agile delivery model, William collaborated closely with QA specialists and project managers to test, document, and deploy the site through multiple environments. His disciplined approach to version control and CI ensured a smooth and reliable launch.
